Meet Our Team
Westridge Animal Hospital was established in 1984.
Our Mission is to continue to provide the best quality veterinary care for our client base, which we consider our family. With over 30 years of faithful customers, we strive to maintain the health and well-being of your pet with quality service and a friendly smile.
Dr. Brooks graduated from Texas A&M in 1977. He opened the doors to Westridge Animal Hospital on March 10, 1984 and moved the clinic to its current location Halloween 1987. He has been married since October 2000. He has two step-sons, one is a radiologist and one is in the oil and gas industry. He is also a proud grandpa!
Dr. Brooks used to breed and show Abbyssian cats but retired from breeding in 1986. He spends his free time at his farm out in Hico where he has a large garden and raises trees.
Dr. Brooks enjoys having a small clinic that allows him to have a personal relationship with multi-generational families. He believes in treating the patient as a whole and not over treating the patient. Dr. Brooks is here to help guide pet owner's to make the right decision in their pet's healthcare and not take options aways from them.
Darian has been with Westridge Animal Hospital since January 2015. She has been a huge asset to our team and has helped to create continued success in the clinic. She has an amazing husband with 4 beautiful children. Their family loves dogs and cats! They have a Bengal cat named Nala, a German Shepherd named Lexi and a long haired Dachshund named Hank.
Darian is here for any questions and concerns you may have regarding your pet's well care and will be seen assisting Dr. Brooks or working in any other area of the clinic as needed.
Darian is dedicated to the whole healthcare of your pet and to making this clinic the best option for you and your pet.
Liz started with Westridge Animal Hospital in April 2018. She has turned out to be a wonderful fit as our receptionist and veterinary assistant. She has a precious little girl and super sweet little boy. She also has a Pug named Billy.
Liz is here for any general medicine questions you may have and is often at the front desk answering phones and will usually be the first one you see when walking into the clinic. She also assists Dr. Brooks as needed and has loved learning more about veterinary medicine in the time she has been with us.
Our kennel techs are a huge part of Westridge Animal Hospital and we could not function without them! Holland and Riley are both in high school and essential in our daily cleaning and taking care of all of our patients that are staying with us for the day or the week!
